Preparation of Wound Site

Ensure the wound is not actively infected. Prepare the site for treatment, avoiding the use of Betadine.

Remove all necrotic (dead) tissue from the wound to promote healing.

Carefully open the outer peel pouch and transfer the inner sterile sealed pouch containing the allograft material to a sterile environment.

Application of Allograft

Open the sterile sealed pouch and place the allograft directly onto the granular bed of the wound, using either side of the allograft.

Secure the allograft, cover with a non-adherent dressing, and wrap with gauze. Use dressings that maintain moisture and manage exudate.

Regularly evaluate the wound’s condition and reapply the allograft weekly or as recommended by the healthcare provider.
